John works as a Project Coordinator on the Climate Change and Energy team at CivicWell, where he is able to put his passion for protecting the environment and combating climate change to good use. Prior to that, John was a CivicSpark fellow with the California Energy Commission, where he focused on issues related to energy equity and technical assistance. A Southern California native, John made the switch to Northern California after attending the University of California, Davis for both his undergraduate and graduate studies in Linguistics. In his spare time, John enjoys playing sports and frequenting local pub quizzes and karaoke nights.
