Jane is the Energy Director at the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG). She administers energy efficiency programs through the Bay Area Regional Energy Network (BayREN) and a natural gas aggregation program, ABAG POWER, to provide benefits and cost savings to local governments and special districts, through pooled purchasing. As the Portfolio Administrator for BayREN, Jane works closely with the nine Bay Area counties to implement BayREN’s impressive portfolio of six existing programs and four additional programs rolling out in 2024. Jane’s background includes local government leadership, deep knowledge in energy efficiency and resilience, and policy and legislative efforts in the climate and energy sectors. Previously, she worked with the County of Sonoma, where she managed the Energy and Sustainability Division. She administered the nationally recognized Sonoma County Energy Independence Program and the County’s implementation of the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) Local Government Partnership. As manager of the County’s energy, climate, and sustainability programs, she directed marketing, outreach, and implementation activities for several community programs, as well as internal energy and climate projects for the county government.
